Homemade Cranberry Orange Bread

My family loves this Cranberry Orange Bread recipe. I only bake this bread after Thanksgiving with the leftover homemade cranberry sauce I make. If you haven’t tried the homemade cranberry orange sauce recipe, you should! It is so awesome and you will never want to go back to the canned cranberry sauce again!  Cranberry Orange Bread Ingredients:

  1. ½ cup Butter softened
  2. ¾ cup Sugar
  3. 3 Eggs
  4. 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  5. 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  6. 1 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  7. 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  8. ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  9. 1 cup Buttermilk (If you don’t have buttermilk, put 1 cup Milk and 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice in a bowl and let it sit for 10 minutes.)
  10. 1 cup Leftover Homemade Cranberry Sauce – Link to recipe
  11. ½ cup Chopped Nuts

Cranberry Orange Bread Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F degrees, grease, and dust with flour two 8 inch loaf pans.
  2. Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  3. Then add the eggs and buttermilk, and mix well.
  4. Add vanilla, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon to creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the nuts.
  6. Divide the batter between two greased loaf pans.
  7. Bake for 40 – 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before turning the pan over onto a wire rack to cool.
