Best Digital Camera for Beginners

My first real camera was an Olympus digital camera, I would consider it to be the best digital camera for beginners. It was a great way to learn how to digital photography. Ever since 2001, I have always used Olympus as my digital camera of choice. I have owned 3 so far and when I upgrade my camera again, it will also be an Olympus micro 4/3rd digital camera.

I will be the first admit that I am not a professional photographer but it is a hobby that I do enjoy. While traveling, I have received so many compliments from other photographers on the picture quality and how easy the Olympus camera is to use. Below you can see my Olympus Pen E-PL5, I also have a Pen E-PL1 both are micro 4/3rd cameras. My first Olympus camera is no longer available.

This camera has 8 features but I like the Action function because it is great for live-action shots (great for kids sports pictures, so they are not blurry). I also like to use it for video and scenery photos. Since I am an avid scrapbooking nerd, picture quality and clarity is very important to me.

I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to my pictures. I always want several shots of the same scene to make sure I get the best one. I also use a Targus tripod, a selection of camera lens, lens filters, and adaptors that I have recommended in another post.

Anytime I buy a new camera or accessory will do some research online before buying. Here is where I got my camera and accessories, so far I haven’t been disappointed. I might upgrade to the Olympus Pen E-PL10 or the Olympus OM-D EM5 Mark II with the weather-sealed kit.
