The Canon Pixma is the best photo printer to achieve professional-quality printed photos from home without breaking the bank. I use this printer to print my own pictures from home. Nothing is more frustrating than getting a great shot with your camera but not having the ability to print out the picture to share with others. I have been printing my digital photo since 2006. I have tried several HP printers with varying levels of picture quality.

In my experience, the cheaper the printer, the less satisfied I was with the finished printed product. The digital pictures would look excellent on my computer screen. I even might make a few changes with my picture editing software but the picture would print out downright grainy or have lines going through it.

(Squirrel moment! : I will cover my favorite photo editing software in another post since I enjoy using technology. I can’t help it, I am a nerdy mom!)

Being a scrapbook nerd, that is downright frustrating after spending so much time cropping and sometimes adjusting the color on my pictures, to be just right before printing. My picture printing woes changed with my new Canon Pixma Pro-100 photo printer. For the best print quality, I have found that the Canon Pixma Pro-100 has delivered on all of my picture quality expectations.

On top of that, the ink cartridges are far more cost-effective in replacing then other printer models I have tried. I rather pay under $5 a cartridge or $31 for an 8 pack of all the CLI-42 ink cartridges. Then $42 or more to replace just one cartage, and I am sad to say that I have with my HPs. I would have to say the Canon Pixma Pro-100 is not your regular printer and will take up some space with a size of 27.2″ (W) x 15.2″ (D) x 8.5″ (H).

The Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer can handle paper sizes:

  • 4″x 6″

  • 5″x 7″

  • 8″x 10″

  • Letter

  • Legal

  • 11″x 17″

  • 13″x 19″

I couldn’t print in all those sizes with my HP printers. I would only be able to print these paper sizes:

  • 5″x 7″

  • 8″x 10″

  • Letter

  • Legal

Not only can I print spectacular pictures with the Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer but I can run my thick card stock and sticker paper through it too.

(Squirrel moment! : Yes, I will sometime make my own sticker and embellishment for my crafts and then uses my Cricut to cut them out. I still can’t help it, I like my toys!)

I would highly recommend getting the Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer for the print quality. The ink will not cost you an arm and a leg as other printers do. So far I haven’t been disappointed with this printer and I would buy it again on Amazon in a heartbeat!

  1. Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance”
between usability and visual appearance. I must say you’ve done an awesome job with this. In addition, the blog loads super fast for me on Chrome. Superb Blog!

  2. I was recommended this website by my cousin. I’m not sure whether this post is written by him as no one else know such detailed about my trouble.
    You are wonderful! Thanks!
